Having been raised in Guernsey I completed a degree in Business Information Systems at the University of East Anglia. In the absence of a clear career path I completed my Chartered Accountancy exams with KPMG where I specialised in financial services and IT Risk Management.
In 2007 I left KPMG and went travelling for 11 months, surfing everywhere I went in my own ‘Endless Summer.’ Returning to the real world I ended up in London. A chance look on gumtree found me applying for I Want One of Those where I was offered the role of Head of Finance.
After being made Director of Finance I soon figured out that eCommerce was the world for me and I combined my experience of systems with my accountancy qualifications and got involved in anything and everything to do with running an ecommerce operation.
In June 2010 I joined Pod1 as an ecommerce strategist and currently advise a variety of retailers on all aspects of their ecommerce operations, from business case reviews, through to content management workflows and digital marketing strategies.
I also advise a gadget development and wholesale company “Troppotogo” and a online surf shop “YakWax.Com”
In any spare time I try and go surfing when I can or if landlocked in London take my Ducati for a spin
